Institutions
Here are some of the various institutions that are involved in archives, special collections, or preservation actives. This list is quite limited, as many institutions may be involved in these occupations even if the mission of the larger institution does not explicitly mention it. Nearly every academic institution, museum, and many other organizations need archivists to tend materials for them. Therefore, think of these links as a peaek into the various types of work one could find him or herself in when pursuing a career.
It is often a good idea to contact institutions that are involved in projects that particularlly excite you. They can be great resources as mentors and may also lead to internship or job opportunities in the future.
