Newark Public Library, Special Collections
Please join Professor Marija Dalbello’s Byrne seminar, “The Books That Make Us,” for a tour of the Special Collections Department of the Newark Public Library. The tour is open to interested SOURCE members and any interested MLIS students.
Jared Ash, Librarian of the Special Collections Division at the Newark Public Library will be hosting SOURCE and the freshmen seminar. Newark Public Library’s special collections feature an extraordinarily rich collection of materials that spans rare books, fine art, artist books, antiquities, manuscripts, prints, and an amazing ephemera collection. For more details, please visit: http://www.npl.org/pages/collections/specialcollections1.html This is also an excellent chance to investigate potential internship opportunities at NPL.
If you would like to join us for this trip, you have two options:
TUESDAY, MARCH 27 – Dr. Dalbello will be taking her undergraduate seminar class to NPL and she can take up to 5 additional SOURCE members on this trip.
