Site of the month: The Historical Society of Pennsylvania\u2019s Digital Library<\/a><\/p>\n Please join Professor Marija Dalbello\u2019s Byrne seminar, \u201cThe Books That\u00a0Make Us,\u201d for a tour of the Special Collections Department of the Newark\u00a0Public Library. The tour is open to interested SOURCE members and any\u00a0interested MLIS students.<\/p>\n Jared Ash, Librarian of the Special Collections Division at the Newark\u00a0Public Library will be hosting SOURCE and the freshmen seminar. \u00a0Newark Public Library\u2019s special collections feature an extraordinarily\u00a0rich collection of materials that spans rare books, fine art, artist\u00a0books, antiquities, manuscripts, prints, and an amazing ephemera\u00a0collection. \u00a0For more details, please visit:\u00a0http:\/\/www.npl.org\/pages\/collections\/specialcollections1.html<\/a>\u00a0This is also\u00a0an excellent chance to investigate potential internship opportunities at\u00a0NPL.<\/p>\n If you would like to join us for this trip, you have two options:<\/p>\n TUESDAY, MARCH 27<\/strong> \u2013 Dr. Dalbello will be taking her undergraduate seminar\u00a0class to NPL and she can take up to 5 additional SOURCE members on this\u00a0trip. \u00a0If interested meet them in lobby of the Zimmerli Art Museum at 10:15\u00a0AM to take a 10:29 AM train from NB to Newark. \u00a0She expects to return to NB\u00a0by 2:48 PM. You may decide to meet the group at the Newark Public Library\u00a0– the tour is scheduled 11:30-1:30.<\/p>\n THURSDAY, MARCH 29<\/strong> \u2013 The tour is scheduled 2-4PM.
